While the front of the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max stays the same. The sides and the back are heavily customized with premium metals. However, at the bottom of the backside, you will see a tiny bubble in which the pieces of the Moon, Mercury and Mars are present.

Caviar, one of the Russian companies that heavily customize iPhones with premium and exotic materials and cases, seems to have created a benchmark for itself. This time it has introduced iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max that have pieces of the Moon, Mars and Mercury in them.

The luxury iPhone case maker has launched three new iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max models under its Space Odyssey series. They call it the Space Odyssey Mars, Space Odyssey Moon and Space Odyssey Mercury. While the Mars variant of iPhone 12 Pro starts at $6,570, the Moon and Mercury variants begin at $6,290 and $6,750. Now that converts to roughly ₹4.8 lakh, ₹4.6 lakh and ₹4.9 lakh in the Indian currency. And these are just the starting prices.

The highest variants of Caviar’s Space Odyssey iPhone 12 Pro Max models cost $7,800 (Mars), $7,520 (Moon) and $7,980 (Mercury). This roughly means around ₹5.7 lakh, ₹5.5 lakh and ₹5.8 lakh respectively.

All are available in 19 limited pieces around the world.

However, at the bottom of the backside, you will see a tiny bubble in which the pieces of the Moon, Mercury and Mars are present. Out of these the Space Odyssey Moon iPhone 12 Pro was unboxed by popular Youtuber MKBHD. And he also talked about the authenticity of that piece of space materials at the iPhones back cover.

We also see him talking to Neil deGrasse Tyson, an American astrophysicist, if it is even possible for a brand to get hold of pieces of the Moon, Mercury and Mars, and sell it.

As it turns out, you can actually buy the meteorites and sell them as well. Even Caviar’s listing states that these pieces are gathered from the meteorite fallen from Moon, Mercury and Mars on to the Earth. As per Tyson, since you can buy and sell pieces of rock and meteorite coming from the space, it might just be possible that these iPhones have the real pieces of Mercury, Mars and Moon at the back.
